Swearing-in of newly appointed cabinet members in line with constitutional requirements

Mogadishu, Somalia – 20 March 2025: The Speaker of the House of the People, H.E. Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), chaired an extraordinary meeting of the Standing Committee at Villa Hargeisa. The agenda was the swearing-in of several newly appointed cabinet members. The oath of office was administered by the Chief Whip of the House of the People, MP Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan (Nuh), in compliance with constitutional and parliamentary procedure. The Speaker congratulated the new ministers and urged them to serve with honesty, transparency, and integrity.
