Swearing-in of MP Sadak Omar Hassan (Dhusamareb constituency, Galmudug); call for active engagement in oversight

Mogadishu, Somalia – 27 August 2025: The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of the People, H.E. Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, presided over a session of the Permanent Committee at Villa Hargeisa. During the session, the Chief Whip, Hon. Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan (Nuux), administered the oath to MP Sadak Omar Hassan, recently elected to represent the Dhusamareb constituency in Galmudug State. The oath formalized his membership in the House, enabling him to fully participate in plenary debates, committee work, and legislative duties. The Second Deputy Speaker encouraged the new MP to actively engage in oversight and represent his constituents effectively.
