11th weekly Standing Committee session: review legislative progress and approve agenda for upcoming sittings

Mogadishu, Somalia – 08 May 2025: The 11th weekly meeting of the Standing Committee of the House of the People was held at Villa Hargeisa, chaired by the Second Deputy Speaker, H.E. Abdullahi Omar Abshirow. Members reviewed the progress of ongoing legislative work, received updates from sub-committees on bills and legal proposals, and approved the agenda for the upcoming general sittings. The Deputy Speaker urged members to accelerate the pace of legislative work and advance laws that strengthen institutions and promote good governance.
