Mogadishu, Somalia — 20 February 2025: The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee at the Speaker’s Office and Committees headquarters in Villa Hargeisa, Mogadishu. The session brought together the leadership of the Standing Committees to deliberate on priority issues concerning the House’s mandate and to review ways of advancing parliamentary activities.
In his opening remarks, the Speaker emphasized the importance of the upcoming sixth parliamentary session, scheduled to commence on Saturday. He underlined that the session will carry significant responsibilities, most notably the finalization of Somalia’s long-awaited constitutional review process.
